Echo Chamber

During the making of Favorite Daughter I was struck with inspiration—every time I listened back to it I couldn't wait to write more material for these musicians. Before the album was completed, new projects were already forming. Echo Chamber is the first such project: twelve tunes written for the extraordinary Dave Kikoski.

These pieces are inspired by old memories, stray thoughts, and private jokes—many of them sparked by the amazing news that my wife and I are expecting our first child. What began as quiet musings on a page found their full voice through Dave Kikoski. He doesn't simply play the notes; he develops and engages with each idea with breathtaking clarity and depth—the perfect person to bring the project to life.
